My best friend and I have been close for nearly 20 years. Unfortunately she married a total wanker and I have to pretend to like him for her sake. He really is painful to be around and loud!!! I try to avoid calling if I know he is home because it is either (a) impossible to get him off the phone or (b) he spends the entire phone call talking to my friend in the back ground. The worst thing is when he attempts to give me parenting advise or relationship advice because if it wasn't for my best friend i wouldn't even talk to this idiot let alone confide in him! Sadly they have been married for 14 years now so it doesn't look like he is going anywhere. When we were both teenagers we were planning to travel together until we met the loser out one night! What is worse is that I am the one who introduced them to each other because I got chatting to his equally idiotic best mate! none of our old friend are keen to get together for BBQs anymore because it means putting up with the loser, so it has distroyed waht could have been a great social group. My friend used to be really confident and healthy and now after years of enduring this unbearable freak of nature she is really big and unmotivated. It is such a shame.
