Ok, now, for three years, I lived next door to this other mum in our appartment block, and her lil girl(now 6) is a year younger than my oldest. FOr those three years, my tiny flat was a second home to her little girl, which I usually didnt mind. She and my son played together all the time so it was great. I admit i never had alot of respect for this mother, some, but not alot. we were frieds all the same, i just thought she was a bit of a slack mum - so many times her daughter would be left alone, or would wander off up the street alone (at age 3 and 4 mind you) and the mother would often go out partying and then the child be locked inside all the next day (or at my place!) as she was hungover. But all this aside, she and I would do alot together - go to the gym, shopping etc.. then she put her child in the same school as my son, which was fine, although i did think a considerable distance for someone who didnt drive, so I offerred to give them lifts to and from school, seeing as we were going there and home anyway! twice in those 3 yrs, I got her a job where i worked, (i was in management) and twice she let me down by being unreliable and lazy. never again. She became one of those women who, if i was doing something/ working somewhere/cutting mmy hair etc she would have to do the same and it started to drive me a bit mad. I moved house at the beginning of this yr, and my son changed school to a nearer one and all of a sudden, everything has changed. almost like i have outgrown my use, as i am now not there to drive her and her kid around. im not there to be a free babysitter. im not there to help her with all the things i used to help her with, so its like now i dont deserve her friendship.. what a user! the first few mths i would call her and organise things to do with her only to be cnacelled by her usually last minute. so i started to cut back the sms and calls. my fone was nicked in August so i had no ones phone numbers. I have now had most of them replaced, except hers. Not ONE call or text from her in 4 months! have decided shes a slack, using, bitch who no longer deserves MY time.. christ. what a waste.
